Graffiti Mural Art

To some Graffiti art is of no such thing, has nothing to do with art more like vandalism. It has always been a troubled avenue of debate. This form of art has been around for eternity from the dawn of time.
We haven’t called it graffiti until very recent. When we started using the term widely it was in the early 70’s to late eighties. It is well known that graffiti generated out of New York and spread through out the world. Some European countries have been known to claim that it originated their instead. Where ever it started it has been here to stay.
Many Graffiti artist move on to become artists in the general populations eyes. A lot of them have contributed to Murals, there are many programs out there in urban cities that take youth and have them paint walls in the community. Some times it is even the kids that did the graffiti painting over with a more picturesque mural. Graffiti artist through their evolution as artists often incorporate other design in their more elaborate works. The lines where the art changes from vandalism and art can start to get blurry.

A great year to come

2012 is looking real good. Mainly because 2011 was so busy. It has left us with a good sense of whats to come. Toronto Muralists has pumped out tons of murals in 2011. One of our biggest ones was in the Trinity Spadina area of Toronto. This is a must see we had one of our esteemed videographer Jassa Campbell record the event. Some of the Toroto Muralists actually went to the school just steps away. The school was Central Technical school also in the Trinity Spadina area. At Central Tech they have a great art program as well, were these artist`s yielded their talents.
They are going to put up a condo where the mural is, would`nt it be great to see the destruction of the mural along with the making of it. That would be some art noveau.
