Interior murals have an eccentric way of creating conversation. When a mural with creative and individual style complimented with vibrant colors will always add a good conversation in a room. It also takes a ho-hum room to a wow room.
If your strapped for ideas well that is no problem here are a couple of ideas for your murals. Perhaps your parents come from a strong family background. Where this family has an allegiance to a particular country, if this is the case then you can put your countries flag on your wall waving in the wind with a beautiful sky in the background. Or you could have more of a religious theme for instance a Buddhist family may have a temple with people praising a gleaming Buddhist statue, perhaps a Christian could have the Noahs ark theme where they are ushering all the animals into the ark before the floods. What ever you choose never despair because their is a great idea waiting to be discovered for your hand painted mural.

Murals for the Country
Toronto Muralists were tasked with getting a hand painted sign on the exterior of a real estate agents office. This was located north of Toronto . We projected the letters at night, and traced the letters out on the wall. The next day we painted the letters. We had a crew of three and that came in handy, because right before we were done the weather got a funny idea to start to get dark. Dark skies and paint don’t mix. Fortunately the team got together and dug in their heels and took care of business.
The letter we put on the wall was “Country Living” one of the members of the business also has a tv show called love it or list it. It is on the W network and it is a show about renovate your home then decide whether or not you still want to live in it or are you going to sell it.
Its great working for celebrity, what do they say you have to shoot for the stars well I guess were hitting our mark.

Graffiti Mural Art
To some Graffiti art is of no such thing, has nothing to do with art more like vandalism. It has always been a troubled avenue of debate. This form of art has been around for eternity from the dawn of time.
We haven’t called it graffiti until very recent. When we started using the term widely it was in the early 70’s to late eighties. It is well known that graffiti generated out of New York and spread through out the world. Some European countries have been known to claim that it originated their instead. Where ever it started it has been here to stay.
Many Graffiti artist move on to become artists in the general populations eyes. A lot of them have contributed to Murals, there are many programs out there in urban cities that take youth and have them paint walls in the community. Some times it is even the kids that did the graffiti painting over with a more picturesque mural. Graffiti artist through their evolution as artists often incorporate other design in their more elaborate works. The lines where the art changes from vandalism and art can start to get blurry.

A great year to come
2012 is looking real good. Mainly because 2011 was so busy. It has left us with a good sense of whats to come. Toronto Muralists has pumped out tons of murals in 2011. One of our biggest ones was in the Trinity Spadina area of Toronto. This is a must see we had one of our esteemed videographer Jassa Campbell record the event. Some of the Toroto Muralists actually went to the school just steps away. The school was Central Technical school also in the Trinity Spadina area. At Central Tech they have a great art program as well, were these artist`s yielded their talents.
They are going to put up a condo where the mural is, would`nt it be great to see the destruction of the mural along with the making of it. That would be some art noveau.

Ideal Pre-Paint Preparation for Mural Painting Success
Once critical aspect of mural painting is the conditions present before you begin, while you’re painting, and after you’ve finished the mural. Professional mural painters never overlook these critical steps, and neither should any amateurs. Let’s take a look at how this can affect both the painting process and longevity of the completed mural.
One large factor that comes into play with exterior murals will always be the surface conditions. The surface will almost always require some form of pre-paint preparation work before the mural begins. Without this necessary work the mural will fail prematurely either right away or soon there-after. There are a few conditions that may be overlooked but your mural will always last longer if you take the steps to prepare the surface properly.
Surface preparation comes in many forms. Occasionally surface preparation may require extensive scraping, sanding, patching, and filling of holes or cracks. This vital work will ensure the mural has the ideal surface to adhere to. Once the physical preparation has been completed it is always a good idea to apply a high quality primer to the surface before you begin the mural, this will ensure that the mural has the absolute best surface to stick to. Primers can vary in costs; always speak with your supplier about the ideal primer to use. Some primers are made only for drywall and others are high quality industrial primers.
Good luck and don’t forget to take the necessary pre-paint preparation seriously or else you and your mural will undoubtedly regret it!
